In light of the recent Supreme Court ruling, we want to reaffirm ECC's unwavering commitment to equality and inclusion of all men who love men.
Our position remains clear - we support and welcome all gay, bi, trans and queer people who identify as men and who love men. It's as simple as that. Trans men have always been a part of our community and we are proud to have adopted this policy of inclusion at our Vision Gathering in 2015, which was reaffirmed in 2023.
We know the ruling concerning the Equality Act and associated public discourse has caused concern and distress for many of us, particularly our trans members. We stand in full solidarity with you. Your rights, safety, and dignity matter, and we are committed to ensuring your inclusion in our community is fully recognised and respected.
Many of us are feeling uncertain and anxious that prejudice and hostility towards all of us - whether we identify as gay, bi, trans or queer - may be on the increase. ECC has always aimed to create a safe space for all men who love men, and that commitment is enshrined in our vision and values.
