Feed Me! Nourish Me!

ECC Scotland

Saturday 14th to Saturday 21st July 2018

The Lodge, Inchdryne, Tulloch, Nethy Bridge PH25 3EF

View of the Cairngorm Mountains

Perfect peace, tranquillity and cookery in the ancient Caledonian Pine Forest of Scotland

The Lodge has a great modern kitchen complete with Aga so as an intimate group of 8 men we will learn how to prepare vegan lunches and dinners. Gluten-free participants can also be accommodated as necessary. By the end of the week you’ll be going home with a selection of inspired and healthy, Highland-created recipes to use again and again.

Other activities can naturally take place in the manner of a typical ECC week. Further arrangements will materialise as we proceed.

The beautiful wooded setting for our week together is quite simply magical. The lounge has wonderful views across fields to the Cairngorm mountains. It goes without saying that wildlife abounds on the doorstep with red squirrels feeding outside the window along with many woodland birds. Badgers are frequent visitors to the garden. The opportunities for walks and biking along quiet forest roads are boundless.

Accommodation

The accommodation is relatively luxurious in a stunning piece of contemporary architecture. It consists of single beds (no bunk beds!) in shared bedrooms of 3 per bedroom max. There is one bedroom that could be a private double should a couple decide to book. There are 3 bathrooms and 4 toilets!

Costs

£150 per person is the estimated breakeven cost for the week including accommodation, all meals and taxi shuttle for anyone using train or bus to/from Aviemore.

Like any other ECC event, we will operate a sliding scale to help participants decide how much they feel they should pay. This helps to make funding the event a community spirited affair. Please remember that the organiser of this event, Morgan, has booked and paid the deposit for the venue and is prepared to cover any loss that might be incurred, so your support will be much appreciated. The following is a guide only. Please aim to pay at least £150.00 if you can.

If you earn more than £30,000 a year, pay £200

If you earn more than £20,000 a year, pay £180

If you’re on a low income or benefits, pay £100

If the concessionary rate is too much then please get in touch as we don’t like cost to be a barrier to attendance.
